Eid Al-Adha from June 27 to June 30, 2023

Eid Al-Adha, also known as The Feast of the Sacrifice, is the second most important and second largest celebration in the Muslim world. It originates from Ibrahim’s desire to fulfill God’s command to sacrifice his son, Ismail. During the holiday, Muslims slaughter animals (sheep, goats, camels, or cows) and divide up the meat into thirds: one-third is kept by the family, one-third is given to family members and friends, and one-third is donated to the poor.

The celebration will start on June 27th, 2023 and will last until June 30th, 2023, giving workers several days off work and ample time to join in the festivities, in addition to the weekend following the holiday as well. Millions of people are expected to celebrate, and the city of Dubai is making adjustments to make this time as comfortable and special as possible. There will be firework shows all around the city. Retail centers are extending their opening times, giving huge discounts, and providing loads of entertainment for the entire family. Public transportation will be available longer and have extra routes. The city government has also hired extra sanitation workers and street cleaners to keep the streets, beaches, water, and canals in pristine condition.

• Downtown Dubai – will have a variety of light shows accompanied by music at the Dubai Fountain, the Dubai Mall is giving huge discounts to customers, and the vibe and feel of the holiday will be everywhere
• Dubai Opera – many concerts will be performed here in celebration of Eid
• Dubai Parks and Resorts – will host fireworks shows every night of the Eid holiday, as well as their usual attractions including indoor thrill rides and a dinosaur parade
• Dubai Festival City Mall – will have a massive fireworks show on June 29th at 9pm, along with discounts and other activities during the festival days
