The Sultanate of Oman is an Arab country in the southeast of the Arabian Peninsula, washed by the waters of the Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean (Arabian Sea). Among the main attractions of Muscat are the Great Mosque of Sultan Qaboos, the royal Al Alam Palace, the National Museum of Oman, Al Mirani Fort and Al Jalali Fort. The capital is also home to the country’s largest international airport.
