About the area
Uptown Al Zahia is a new up-and-coming sub-district of Sharjah that offers a modern living environment and all of the essential amenities. It is part of the Al Zahia project in the Muwailih Commercial district and is adjacent to the University City area and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. The development consists of a series of mid-rise buildings with studios and apartments that are available to buy and rent.
The majority of the development has already been commissioned. It is estimated that Uptown Al Zahia will be able to accommodate 700 families upon completion. The project was developed by Sharjah Holding and includes 10 residential buildings and some infrastructural facilities. The master plan includes an area with cafes, restaurants, a kindergarten, and a supermarket. The neighbourhood is home to Al Zahia Garden Apartments, an area with villas and townhouses, as well as City Centre Al Zahia, a large shopping mall.
Uptown Al Zahia offers residents a variety of amenities and services, including swimming pools, a gym, high-speed lifts, 24-hour security, underground parking, children’s playgrounds, and green areas. There are also plans for a supermarket, cafes, and restaurants.

City Centre Al Zahia is a shopping and entertainment complex in Uptown Al Zahia. Residents can shop at a Carrefour Hypermarket and dine at Tony Roma’s American Restaurant and Il Forno Italian Restaurant. There are also ATMs and stores selling furniture, perfume, clothing, and electronics. The Winter Garden, Magic Planet City Play Centre – Al Zahia, and VOX Cinemas – Al Zahia City Centre are also situated near the sub-district. The buildings are connected to Uptown Al Zahia via a pedestrian bridge.
For evening entertainment, residents can go to Aljada Movie Night, which is an open-air cinema. Aljada Amphitheatre and Skating Area offer fun activities, as well as a variety of cafes and restaurants.
