The Specialty Food Festival in Dubai
The DWTC is to host the Specialty Food Festival, which will elevate Dubai’s position as a global gourmet destination. The 12th annual festival event will take place from the 7th to the 9th of November. It will offer companies and professionals a platform for networking, whilst visitors will have the chance to learn the latest news and trends in the specialty food industry.
The Specialty Food Festival will bring together the leaders of the retail, hospitality, food service, manufacturing, import/export and wholesale industries. There will be 6 key focal points of the festival: Vegan and Plant Based, Horeca and Food Service, Speciality Beverage, Health and Wellness, Artisan and Gourmet and Organic and Free-From.
According to Trixie LohMirmand, the Executive Vice President of Dubai World Trade Centre, gastronomy is thriving both in Dubai and in the MENA region. This is confirmed by the arrival of world-famous Michelin and Gault et Millaiu guides in the region.

The Specialty Food Festival will house an array of foods from 250+ exhibitors, such as Monin, Mamame Whole Foods and Truffle House. Among the products to be showcased are award-winning olive oils from Italy, Spain and Greece, 100-year-old traditional balsamic vinegars and family-owned handcrafted burrata.
The big names at the event include Chef Alessio Pirozzi, Head Chef at the Michelin-starred Torno Subito, Chef Kelvin Cheung of Jun’s, and Chef Alexander Stumpf, Executive Chef and Co-owner of BB Social Dining, to name a few.
Thanks to its booming culinary and hospitality scene, Dubai keeps attracting many individuals to call the emirate their second home. These types of events also lead to a major influx in tourists who need accommodation and, therefore, seek out short-term rental properties near the event venues.
