Ras Al Khaimah’s largest business district to be built by Marjan

One of Ras Al Khaimah’s leading developers, Marjan, has unveiled a sensational mixed-use district called RAK Central. The project, which will become a dynamic destination to work, live and play, falls in line with RAK Vision 2023.

RAK Central will contribute to a strong and diversified economy, create happy communities, and protect the environment thanks to its green building initiatives, as stated by Marjan. Most importantly, the district will fuel the business and tourist sectors and provide even more work opportunities.

The newly launched development is situated on Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi Street, overlooking Al Hamra Golf Club and the Arabian Gulf. It will house the Northern Emirates’ biggest commercial business district, with commercial spaces customised, to meet anchor tenants’ needs.

RAK Central is also set to become the biggest business hub in the emirate, attracting diverse businesses in the hospitality, leisure, retail, finance, logistics and construction sectors.

The project will be built in phases, with the first phase to house 1 million sq. ft of commercial office space to rent. Upon completion, RAK Central will feature more than 3 million sq. ft of rentable office space, 4,000+ apartments, 3 hotels with 1,000+ rooms, many parks and green spaces, retail and entertainment venues, as well as several interlinked buildings housing 1,000 visitor parking spots.

The developer will also offer 34 exclusive freehold plots for the acquisition and development of residential towers, reaching a maximum of 45 floors. The plots will offer scenic views of the greenery surrounding the mega-district.

Construction of RAK Central is scheduled to start in 2024, whilst the first phase is expected to be completed in Q4 2026.

RAK Central will adhere to the sustainability principles outlined in the LEED Gold Certification, ensuring that it is built with a focus on environmental responsibility.
