Jumeirah Golf Estates is a Dubai neighbourhood that provides a high-end lifestyle to both its residents and visitors. The community is a freehold area that features both apartment complexes and villas. Although its main property type are villas, most of its residential units are placed around the Fire and Earth golf courses known for hosting the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Villas in Jumeirah Golf Estates are enclosed in a gated neighbourhood and boast a unique clustered construction with an outstanding backdrop of the city. The area’s natural landscape along with numerous amenities, including playgrounds, parks and a fitness center, provide very practical and comfortable conditions for young couples and families with children.
Jumeirah Golf Estates is rightfully considered a golfers’ paradise as it is conceptually focused on sports, golf and leisure activities that residents can enjoy any day of the week. The area features two 18-hole championship-level golf courses called Earth Course and Fire Course, that serve as the community center, around which sits all its residential units.
The Earth Course is inspired by Mediterranean architecture and is surrounded by six residential developments that have a total of 606 villas. The Fire Course design is featured around the desert and surrounded by seven residential developments with a total of 438 homes. Jumeirah Golf Estates features villas with 3, 4, 5, and 6 bedrooms, each with their own private garden. The community also features the Alandalus complex which is set in a wonderful hill town, and offers both apartments and villas.
The location of Jumeirah Golf Estates has everything any resident may need in a gated community. The area has also recently become connected to the Dubai Metro via the Red Line, which has consequently boosted its value and attractiveness.
Villas in Jumeirah Golf Estates are all placed amongst green landscapes, overlooking the spectacular Earth and Fire golf courses, making the neighbourhood one of the most vibrant residential communities in Dubai. The community has a total of 16 clusters that feature residences in different architectural styles, with both tenants and homeowners residing in the development. Jumeirah Golf Estates Station is located on D57 and the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road junction, and is one of Route 2020’s seven stations that serve the communities of Production City, Green Community and Jumeirah Golf Estates along with their surrounding areas. Jumeirah Golf Estates Station features a wide range of amenities, including bus stops, taxi drop-off spots, disabled parking and even several shopping outlets.
Jumeirah Golf Estates also has access to a couple of nurseries, including Jumeirah International Nursery, which is considered one of the finest in Jumeirah, as well as Wonder Years Nursery. Both of these institutions follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
As for schooling options in Jumeirah Golf Estates, residents have access to the Victory Heights Primary School which is located in Sports City, and is just a short drive from Jumeirah Golf Estates. The school follows the UK syllabus for the first six years of studying. Sports City features the GEMS United School, which is also a noteworthy educational option that follows the American 12-year system.
There are also higher education options closeby to Jumeirah Golf Estates. One of them is the University of Balamand located in Dubai Investment Park and reachable within 20-minutes of the development. The university’s main campus is located in Lebanon, whose legacy and reputation is carried through to the Sports City site. Students applying to study here will follow the American educational system.
Located 30 minutes away from Jumeirah Golf Estates is Knowledge Village which also has several higher education options, including the University of Wollongong, the University of Bradford and the American University of Dubai, among others.
The nearest shopping center, City Centre Me’aisem, is about 15 minutes away and offers a large selection of popular stores and restaurants, as well as practical places such as pharmacies, banking services and much more. As for bigger locations such as the Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall or Dubai Marina Mall, they are all within a 25 minute drive of Jumeirah Golf Estates.
The heart of the area is the Country Club, which has many world-class restaurants, with each institution having a panoramic terrace overlooking the golf course. For example, the Flame Tree grill restaurant offers an extensive menu for dinner, and there are often themed nights with specials throughout the week.
Unfortunately, Jumeirah Golf Estates does not have its own beach. A better option would be to visit the beaches in JBR or the Dubai Marina area, which are about a half-hour drive away.
The JGE Golf Academy offers many activities for guests. It is also home to the only European Tour Performance Institute (ETPI) in the Middle East, which is a state-of-the-art performance center designed to improve the abilities of all golfers, regardless of their skill level. The Country Club also includes a tennis center, which aims to create a tennis community for residents and non-residents alike, and many tennis and golf tournaments, events and social activities are held throughout the year.
Alandalus is the newest neighbourhood in the community, featuring freehold residential real estate, recreational facilities and commercial buildings. The sub-community consists of 715 apartments and 95 townhouses. One-bedroom apartments in this area cost from AED 685,000 (USD 186,500), while two-bedroom townhouses start from AED 1,500,000 (USD 408,400). The cheapest one-bedroom apartment can be rented for AED 49,000 (USD 13,400) annually.
Whispering Pines is another popular community that consists of 160 villas and was completed back in 2013. This development project features three and four-bedroom homes built in a traditional Tuscan style with wooden finishes. Al Andalus is a huge residential complex that features apartments with one to four bedrooms, as well as townhouses with two and three bedrooms. Two-bedroom apartments are the most popular type of property to be sold in this sub-community. A two-bedroom apartment in Al Andalus will cost on average AED 1,320,000 (USD 359,500).
As for rental options in Jumeirah Golf Estates, Jumeirah Luxury and Al Andalus houses some of the most in demand rental properties in the community.
