Flagship waterfront masterplan by RAK Properties with protected mangroves, lagoons and natural beaches, three coastal districts and two five-star resorts.
Mina Al Arab is a waterfront community developed by RAK Properties on the southern coast of Ras Al Khaimah. The development covers around four million square metres along the Arabian Gulf and includes residential districts, marinas and resorts alongside protected mangrove wetlands. The wider masterplan is now known simply as Mina.
The community is divided into three districts, with a mix of completed neighbourhoods and new off-plan developments:
Mina Al Arab is located between Al Hamra Village and Ras Al Khaimah city on the emirate’s western coastline. The area is close to Al Marjan Island and connects to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salem Road, providing access to Ras Al Khaimah, the airport and Dubai.
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport can be reached in around 25 minutes, while Dubai is approximately 45 minutes away by car. Residents typically rely on private cars and taxis for daily travel.
Beaches & mangroves — Sandy beaches and protected mangrove areas provide spaces for swimming, kayaking and paddleboarding. The preserved wetlands are home to local wildlife, including flamingos, sea turtles and dolphins.
Mina Yacht Club & Wharf — A waterfront marina with yacht berths, cafés and restaurants overlooking the water.
Five-star resorts — InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa offers beachfront dining, pools and spa facilities, while Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort features a private beach, luxury villas and the emirate’s first overwater villas.
Mina Boulevard — The waterfront retail and dining area on Raha Island, with cafés, restaurants and shops.
Shopping & dining — Choithrams serves daily grocery needs, while Al Hamra Mall is a short drive away for additional shopping and dining options.
Schools & healthcare — Little Treasures Nursery and Al Jazeera Medical Clinic are nearby. Schools including Al Jazeera Al Hamra School and RAK Academy – British School Al Hamra are located in the neighbouring Al Hamra area.
Mina Al Arab is moving into a new phase of growth as RAK Properties continues to expand the masterplan with new residential and lifestyle projects. In 2025, the developer announced an AED 5 billion development pipeline for Mina, with most upcoming projects focused on Raha Island and the Downtown Mina district.
Raha Island is at the centre of this expansion, with new additions including Mina Boulevard, marina facilities, Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Ras Al Khaimah and Four Seasons Resort and Residences. Mina Al Arab also benefits from its proximity to Al Marjan Island, Ras Al Khaimah’s main tourism destination and the future home of Wynn Al Marjan Island. The growth of the emirate’s tourism sector is expected to support demand for coastal communities in the surrounding area.
Mina Al Arab is divided into three main districts: Hayat Island, Raha Island and The Lagoons. Hayat Island is home to waterfront apartments, villas, branded residences and two five-star resorts. Raha Island, also known as Downtown Mina, is the newest part of the masterplan, with Mina Boulevard, marina facilities and upcoming residential developments. The Lagoons includes established villa and townhouse communities surrounded by landscaped areas and waterways.
Mina Al Arab was developed by RAK Properties, a Ras Al Khaimah-based real estate company listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange. The developer launched the masterplan as one of its largest projects and continues to expand the community with new residential and hospitality developments.
Mina Al Arab offers apartments, duplexes, penthouses, townhouses and villas. Buyers can find completed homes in established neighbourhoods, as well as newer waterfront apartments and branded residences on Hayat Island and Raha Island.
Apartments in Mina Al Arab generally start from around AED 800,000. Townhouses start from around AED 1.2 million, while villas typically start from around AED 2.3 million. Prices vary depending on the project, size, views and location within the community.
Yes. Mina Al Arab is a freehold community, allowing buyers of all nationalities to purchase property with full ownership rights.
RAK Properties is continuing to expand Mina with new projects mainly focused on Raha Island and Downtown Mina. Recent launches include Mirasol, Solera and SKAI, while future additions include Four Seasons Resort and Residences and Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Ras Al Khaimah.
Mina Al Arab was planned around protected mangrove wetlands that have been preserved as part of the community's natural environment. The area supports local wildlife, including flamingos, sea turtles and dolphins. Residents can explore the waterways through activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding.
