The vibrant Al Maryah Island district is located in the north-east of Abu Dhabi and covers an area of 12.2 million square feet. Developed by Mubadala Development, construction began in 2007 and is now well underway. Upon completion, the island is expected to accommodate around 30,000 residents and provide employment for 75,000 people.
At the heart of the area is Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, which is home to over 40 different businesses. The island is also home to the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi hospital, two five-star hotels and the Galleria Mall.

The lowest property value in the area is set at the Al Maryah Vista complex. Here, a 1-bedroom apartment of 612 sq. ft. can be purchased for AED 450,000 (USD 123,000). Prices for studios of 322 sq. ft. start from AED 462,000 (USD 126,000). Al Maryah Vista has an expected return on investment of around 4%.

Al Maryah Island has a well-developed public transport system with buses 8, 10 and 11 running across the island. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan St can be reached in 5-10 minutes from here and connects the major districts of the capital. Corniche Beach and the Capital Centre are about a 50-minute drive from the island, and Abu Dhabi International Airport is about an hour away.
Al Maryah Island has two five-star hotels with first-class restaurants and spa facilities – Rosewood Abu Dhabi and Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi.
For any shopping sprees, head to The Galleria Shopping Centre, which offers a variety of shops and eateries, as well as Vox Cinemas.
Abu Dhabi Global Market Square is home to the National Geographic Ultimate Explorer AD. There are plenty of interactive and educational games for children here, including panda shows, rock climbing and painting.
Golf-lovers can head to Abu Dhabi City Golf Club and Saadiyat Beach Golf Club which are both about 15-20 minutes away by private car or taxi. The Yas Island theme parks can be reached within a 25-minute drive.
