The world’s tallest 360-degree panoramic pool has opened in Dubai

In recent years, Dubai has almost turned world records into an art form, and now the emirate has another one to add to its list of iconic attractions.

On November 15, 2021, the first, and so far the only one, of the world’s tallest panoramic pools, the Aura Skypool, opened in Dubai, offering stunning panoramic views of the emirate, the Persian Gulf skyline, the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel and more. The project was launched in 2019 by Sunset Hospitality Group, a Dubai-based hospitality investment and management company which develops new concepts and realizes them. As for now, the company is present in nine countries, including the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain, and has over 30 venues in their portfolio.

The pool is located in the Palm Tower by Nakheel, on thePalm Jumeirah Island. The Aura Skypool is suspended at 656 ft and includes a spacious terrace near the pool itself, which is 8,073 square feet. The new record-breaker is situated on the 50th floor of the new landmark, where the St. Regis Dubai Hotel is also located. Visually, the pool appears to have no boundaries as the water overflows over its sides. In addition, visitors to the Aura Skypool can enjoy the lounge area, which features custom-made single or double loungers, an expansive bar and a restaurant.

The Aura Skypool is ideal for parties, corporate events, weddings or other events, as it combines an elegant and intimate atmosphere, along with a combination of natural materials used in the interior design and geometric accents, with landscaped green spaces. The restaurant features a menu by chef Craig Best’s and offers a personalized service.

When booking, visitors have the option of choosing a time slot and deck area. There are three zones, including the standard Orange Zone, the Green Zone, which is closer to the pool, and the VIP Island. Visitor prices vary by time slot and are as follows:

  • Morning Experience – from 10 am to 2 pm. The price starts from AED 170 (USD 46.28).
  • Afternoon Experience – from 3 pm until sunset, with prices ranging from AED 200 (USD 54.45).
  • Full-Day Aura – from 10 am to sunset costs from AED 370 (USD 100.74).

It is advisable to book your visit to the Aura Skypool panoramic pool in advance through the official website.

However, Aura Skypool isn’t the highest infinity pool in the city, as the swimming pool holding the Guinness World Record for the highest pool is located on the 77th floor of the Address Beach Resort nearly 984 ft above the ground. The Address Beach Resort pool also provides incredible views of the Persian Gulf and Bluewaters Island.

In the near future, a 508-foot long sky pool connecting the towers of the PALM360 development 558 ft above the ground will be open. PALM 360 is a hotel and residential complex by Nakheel, set within the Palm Jumeirah’s Boardwalk and offers views of Palm Jumeirah, the coastline and Dubai.
