New initiatives for the Hatta neighbourhood revealed

Hatta is undergoing a major redevelopment that will bring several exciting additions to the region. One of the highlights is an artificial lake with a beach, offering residents and visitors a beautiful waterfront area to enjoy. New neighbourhoods will be built to accommodate the growing population, providing more housing options for families.

The comprehensive development plans implemented throughout Dubai reflect the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, emphasised the importance of these plans in ensuring the highest standards of living for citizens and their families.

During his visit to Hatta, Sheikh Hamdan approved a series of projects. These encompass a private school, which will accommodate 700-1,000 students, and a community centre with a multi-purpose hall and administrative offices. The centre will serve as a platform for social interaction among residents, providing a space for community engagement.

Another exciting addition is that of Hatta Beach with a crystal lagoon more than 107,000 sq. ft in size and a variety of amenities. The plans also encompass the expansion of Hatta Heritage Village, the creation of new attractions, and the introduction of 330 investment opportunities for the region’s residents.

Sheikh Hamdan commended the efforts of the Supreme Committee to oversee the development of Hatta and other entities involved in the development plans. He expressed his commitment to leveraging the distinctive potential of Hatta outlined in the Dubai Urban Plan 2040, which aims to make Dubai the best place to live, work, and visit.

The ongoing projects in Hatta, such as the construction of hotels, resorts and housing, and the enhancement of downtown Hatta, align with the larger plan to transform Hatta into a thriving business, investment, and tourism hub.

The redevelopment of Hatta reflects the commitment of the Dubai government to continually improve its residents’ quality of life and to create sustainable and vibrant communities. These projects will not only enhance the emirate’s appeal but also contribute to its economic growth and prosperity.
