The UAE ranked as the best destination for expats in the world on most counts. According to Index of InterNations, which is a German research firm, the country scored over other odds due to many factors such as leisure options, professional prospects, safety, bureaucracy, language, job satisfaction, digital life, healthcare, housing, as well as wages and job safety. According to the ‘Expat Insider 2022’ report, the country achieved advanced positions in four key categories and 11 indexes out of the total five categories and 17 indexes.
The report ranked expatriate destination countries in terms of ease of settling in, quality of life, personal finance, working abroad and the availability of basic essentials. The report showed that 94% of those surveyed felt safe in the UAE, while the global rate on this constituted less than 81%.

About 86% of residents included in the survey said that they were happy about the available government services in the country. This indicator exceeds the global rate by 25 percentage points. 90% of those surveyed said that they can use cashless payments in the UAE, while the global rate on this constituted 84%
The percentage of residents who noted the easy access to medical services in the UAE was 78%, compared to the global rate of 64%
79% of respondents stated that living in the UAE advanced their professional prospects, compared with the global rate of 65% on this front.
Approximately 85% of surveyed individuals said that not speaking the local language was not a barrier for living in the UAE, while the global percentage on this aspect was 51%.
83% of the UAE residents surveyed said that administrative procedures in the country are simple and easy. This indicator exceeds the global indicator of 56% by 27 points.
About 75% of respondents said that the process of finding housing in the UAE was easy, while the global rate on this aspect was 54%. 83% of those surveyed noted the ease of applying for a residence visa in the UAE compared to the global rate of 56%. All of the above-mentioned makes the UAE the best place to live and invest in real estate. In addition, in 2021, the emirate of Dubai was ranked among the world’s top 5 cities, according to the Resonance Consultancy.
